Assin North MP James Gyakye Quayson Assures Victory in Upcoming Elections

James Gyakye Quayson, the Member of Parliament for Assin North, has voiced strong confidence in securing a renewed mandate in the upcoming 2024 elections. Quayson’s political journey has been marked by significant challenges, including a contentious legal battle over his dual citizenship of Canada and Ghana, which led to his seat being declared vacant in 2020. Despite these obstacles, he successfully contested and won a by-election, reinstating his position in Parliament.

In the face of legal disputes, Quayson has maintained a focus on advancing developmental projects within his constituency. Among his notable efforts is the ongoing construction of the Tweanka Bridge, a crucial infrastructure project that will enhance connectivity between Assin Breko and the capital town. Quayson emphasized his commitment to seeing this project through to completion, stating, “I will continue to leverage every available resource to ensure the completion of this critical project.”

Quayson’s dedication to development and justice was further highlighted during a recent visit by Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate. This visit provided Quayson an opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to his constituents and underscore the positive impact of his work in Assin North.

Expressing optimism about his re-election prospects, Quayson pointed to the tangible improvements made under his leadership as evidence of his effectiveness and dedication. He stated, “I believe the people of Assin North will renew my mandate because they recognize and appreciate the development I’ve brought to the constituency.” Quayson’s confidence is grounded in his track record of tangible achievements and his ongoing efforts to address the needs of his constituents.

As the 2024 elections approach, Quayson’s focus on development and commitment to justice remain central themes of his campaign. His work on critical infrastructure projects, like the Tweanka Bridge, and his resolve to overcome past challenges highlight his readiness to continue serving Assin North with dedication and impact.
